TEMPLE BLESSINGS: Natural Dyes of India

Textile Center and Khazana are excited to present visiting artist Rupa Trivedi, founder of Adiv Pure Nature.

Wednesday, October 26th, 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the Textile Center

Based in Mumbai, Adiv is a social and artisan enterprise with the goal of using natural dyes to create sustainable fashion. They pride themselves on using recycled raw materials and are especially known for their temple project. In Indian temples, marigold, rose, hibiscus, coconut, and many other flowers are part of the daily offerings to the gods. At the end of the day, Adiv collects and uses them as natural dyes. A small group of self-taught hand-dyers design and create the textiles, which have been sold through Dosa, Anthropologie, Eileen Fischer, and Johanna Riplinger. Rupa has come to Textile Center all the way from India to share her beautiful, all-natural hand-dyed textiles and the processes used to create them! Join us after the presentation for a special trunk show of scarves dyed by Adiv Pure Nature artisans.
